The past few weeks our class has been working on speeches and lots of them are not the same. Josie is doing it on Bethany Hamilton and Paige is doing it on Hillsdale. When you say a speech do not mumble, stand up straight, use hand gestures, move around (but not too much), talk loud and use eye contact. Also for a speech you can write it on cue cards. Cue cards are for when you say your speech and you forget it then you will just have to look down at them!
When you read your speech you will first read it to the class then if you get picked then you will go to the gym and if the Judges pick you for that then you can go to the Legion. The two people in our class that got picked to go to the gym were Kieran and Scott. Kieran’s topic was How Good and Bad Sisters Are. Scott’s topic was Global Warming.Please comment on our post. Tell us what your topic was or what you would like to do one on when you are in grade 4 and up. Also if you want you can tell use why you want to do it!

I was scared really scared to do my speech but I got therw it. My speech was on Bobby Orr a famous hockey player. I am already trying to pick a topic for next year but my head can’t think when I am trying to. I Think Kieran and Scott did good in the gym it must of been hard for them.
