The Document Camera

In our class we have a document camera! If you are wondering what that is, it is an amazing piece of technology that displays a picture on the SMART Board of what is shown under the camera. Mrs. Swift likes to use it a lot to show a question that some people have some trouble with, a picture or sentence in a book or if someone has something to share.

Since it displays an image on the SMART Board and has a lot of  room there we keep it on the projector table (shown in picture).

A really cool thing it can do is capture or take a picture of something shown under the camera and put it saved in SMART Board notebook so we can all write on it. Once we are done with it, we just press a button on the document camera and it goes back to normal!

Does your class have a document camera? If so, are there any other ways that you use it?

If you don’t have a document camera does it sound interesting?
